Indications
This product is clinically indicated for:
- Bruising of the dorsum of the DIP joint
- Mallet finger deformity
- Extensor tendon injury management
- Minor fractures of the distal phalanges
- Distal phalange post-fracture care
- DIP joint conditions
- Swollen fingertip
- Post-surgical finger care
The DIP joint must be maintained in full extension at all times during treatment — even momentary flexion can reset the healing process. Do not remove without clinical guidance.
Care Instructions
- Wipe with a damp cloth — do not submerge in water
- Spot clean Ethafoam lining with mild detergent and air dry thoroughly
- Inspect daily for correct joint positioning and skin condition beneath the splint
- Replace if foam lining becomes compressed or loses its protective properties
